SAP Appendix Q

SAP is the government’s Standard Assessment Procedure for calculating energy efficiency in dwellings. It is used to demonstrate compliance with building regulations in England and Wales (Part L), Scotland (Section 6) and Northern Ireland (Part F) and provide energy ratings that can be compared nationally.

Appendix Q applies specifically to MVHR (mechanical ventilation with heat recovery) and MEV (mechanical extract ventilation) systems. These technologies are available from Itho by way of the HRU ECO 4 and CVE ECO 2 units respectively. Both comply with the SAP Q requirements, excelling when independently tested by BRE Global and proving themselves as two of the most efficient ventilation systems on the market.
